late victorian toile

Designed and constructed a Victorian gown from the late 1880s complete with embellishments and fabric manipulations. I used my Victorian period design from the project Orlando as my reference. This bodice with two-piece sleeves and skirt are constructed out of medium-weight calico with lace and taffeta found in the bow and frills, and on the sleeves and front of the bodice. Other details include pleats, gathers, bound edges and piped edges.
